Gingham Mosaik

Designed for FilzFelt, Mosaik is reimagining traditional woven textile patterns combined with modern technology from Artaic, to piece together sound absorption in an array of playful patterns on a large scale acoustic wall.  

Gingham is a woven pattern using a plain weave to form a checked pattern. Inspired by the checkered cloths you see on picnic tables or at classic pizza joints, and reimagined the design to be colorfully played up or mellowed to subtle sophistication.

And now, Artaic brings that technology to 100% Wool Design Felt. Mosaik, a custom FilzFelt acoustic wall application, uses automation to customize and assemble mosaics from any source of inspiration. Mosaik patterns, large and small, are composed of individual tiles— available in over ninety colors of pure wool felt— that are designed to fit together seamlessly for simple and straightforward installation.
